How do I create different music from the same lyrics?

Keep the lyrics and click ✦ Generate song again. Leave the padlock beside the seed unlocked for a new result. You can also change musical settings before generating again. Save the previous version first if you want to keep it.

How do I keep a result I like?

Click Save. Before trying another version, use Save project as…. Locking the seed helps repeat generation with the same settings, but does not replace saving your project.

How do I change a track's instrument?

Select a MIDI track in Shape. In Inspector, click the list button beside Instrument, choose Group and Instrument, and use Preview to listen. Click Use instrument to apply it.

How do I change a note?

Double-click the clip. Drag a note up or down for pitch, left or right for timing, and its right edge for duration. For exact values use Beat, Length and Pitch.

How do I add or delete notes?

Double-click an empty area in Piano roll to add a note. Select notes and press Delete while working in the note editor to remove them.

How do I move or copy several notes?

Drag a selection box in empty space. Hold Shift to add notes to the selection. Drag one selected note to move them together. For copying, press Ctrl+C, select the destination on the note ruler, then press Ctrl+V.

How do I transpose a melody?

Select notes and click Transpose… in Piano roll. Positive values raise the pitch; negative values lower it. With no notes selected, the whole clip changes. For entire tracks, select them on the timeline and use its transpose button.
